Sea Shell Cross-stitch

I'm working on this cross-stitch pattern of sea shells, but it's a gift for my Mom and Step-dad for Christmas, so...Shhhhh!

Doll nightie

I've had this doll nightie for a few years and had decided that it needs a little more color in the embroidery. Here is before.

And here it is after. I think it looks much more cheerful!

Hats, hats, and more hats!

These are some of the hats being used in the OCC production of Sherlock Holmes this week.

Victorian Lace

This is a lovely, ladies' suit dress embellished with a large lace collar and applique' on the skirt. The actress wearing it in the show is teeny, tiny...about a size 2. I did the suit, and then later, worked on a coordinating hat. (See the flowery, veiled hat in the next post!)

Hello, Prince Charming!

This is a fun one! He is the Prince of Bohemia, also for the Sherlock Holmes production. A little more trim and some white riding pants and he'll be ready.

Actress in, Actress Out!

The actress playing Ginger was replaced, so her costume has had to be altered (again) to fit the new actress. She is taller and generally larger. Here's the almost completed look.

Ginger, Sherlock Holmes

This is one of the costumes I'm working on for the Orange Coast College production of Sherlock Holmes.
A little Victorian-era ladies suit. The character is named Ginger. She's apparently loud and abrasive, hence the loud and abrasive print!
